Saudi Arabia's NSG Group has launched a platform to provide digital services and connectivity to airlines under the name Skywaves, in cooperation with the French company Display Interactive. The company, which is wholly owned by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund, said the cooperation also includes the launch of the SkyFly platform, which aims to provide entertainment services to passengers during their flights.

"The platform system will also improve communication delays, and will not rely solely on core satellite operations, but also align with the 'Call as a Service' model, providing a comprehensive connectivity solution suitable for the future of airlines."
